SNOW SEASON JAPAN was born from the desire of two friends to share the unbelievable riding and amazing winter lifestyle we found here in Japan. As individuals who are passionate about snow, mountains, travel and culture, our mission is to run a business that reflects our own lives, interests and experiences.

Rider owned and operated, the SNOW SEASON JAPAN team is Sarah Mulholland and Andrew Kelly: one skier and one snowboarder, originally from Scotland and England respectively. With extensive local knowledge from living and riding in the Japanese Alps, we have guided international pro snowboarders and skiers, photographers and film crews to the sweetest spots, both on and off the hill. Visiting friends and pro riders alike are always blown away by the sheer amount of snow, incredible terrain, fantastic food and unique cultural experience of winter in Japan.

With the growing popularity of Japan as a major world snow destination, we are proud to be the first to combine bespoke snowsports trips to the beautiful Japanese Alps with Japanese language courses and cultural excursions. Our 4 week, 8 week and 12 week trips to Japan are ideal for those who want to experience a winter with a distinct difference. One plank or two, girl or guy, you’ll find a warm welcome and we’ll make sure you get the most out of your winter experience in Japan.

With over 12 seasons experience in Europe, Canada, Japan and New Zealand… 8 of those in Japan, we are in the perfect position to offer you a trip of a lifetime in a location less travelled… or should we say, less tracked out!
